Alpha Gamma Rho

Alpha Gamma Rho is a social-professional fraternity that is truly unique when compared to other fraternities at California State University, Fresno. Every member has an agricultural major or background. Most fraternities focus on the social aspects of the students' lives, but Alpha Gamma Rho deals with both social and professional issues, putting it in a class by itself. There are over 41,000 active members and alumni from 62 different colleges across the nation.

The Alpha Gamma Rho house is located on the fraternity mall only blocks from campus, allowing for easy interaction with the members of the other fraternities on campus. The house is capable of providing room and board for a price that is cheaper than the University dorms, as well as providing ten home cooked meals a week and a friendly, family environment.

The purpose of Alpha Gamma Rho is to make better men. One way of accomplishing this is by encouraging scholarship among its members. The house helps achieve this goal by providing its members with a study room with IBM computers capable of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Another strength of the fraternity is the strong support of its alumni, who award $3,000 each semester to deserving undergraduates from the house.

Please feel free to stop by and see what Alpha Gamma Rho has to offer you. If you have any questions, call the house at (559) 226-9519, and ask for the recruitment chairman, or stop by the house for a tour.
